Abstract

Amplitude-frequency characteristics of SH-waves scattered by elastic fiber of non-canonical form
in the far wave zone at stationary oscillations of unbounded elastic solid are investigated. The
effects of mechanical and geometric parameters of the thin inclusion of variable thickness and low
rigidity, which is located on the contact surface of the fiber and matrix, on the dynamic
characteristics are analyzed. The modified null field method is exploited for obtaining the
numerical results.
