Abstract

A contact between elastic bodies, one of which has a surface with periodical gaps and the other
one has a cover, connected with the base through thin Winkler layer, is investigated by domain
decomposition methods. A distribution of normal and tangential stresses on the interface between
cover and base is studied and the maximal principal stress in the bodies is analysed.
